About the role

Description

Yale Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Division of Adult Trauma and Reconstruction is currently recruiting for a surgeon who is American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon that is Fellowship trained with a particular interest in upper extremity trauma. This surgeon will be integrated into the Adult Trauma and Upper Extremity services, performing upper extremity fracture surgery and reconstruction along with primary and revision total shoulder arthroplasty/reverse total shoulder arthroplasty and elbow arthroplasty. The ideal candidate would be dual fellowship trained in trauma (OTA accredited or AO Traveling) and shoulder/elbow (ASES accredited).

Responsibilities:

·       Primary Practice Location: New Haven, CT

·       Participate in the training of fellow, residents, medical students, and other allied health students.

·       Engage in research activities, depending on the wishes and skill set of the candidate. Research is supported and valued.

     Opportunities:

·       Academic appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience.

·       Contribution to program and practice development, medical leadership, teaching, and research.

·       Representing the Department by participating in committees, conferences, and exemplifying the institution at professional meetings and community speaking engagements.

Qualifications

Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible

Fellowship Training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery & Adult Traumatology
