Warehouse Technician - Day Shift

The Warehouse Tech must coordinate and engage with operators, batchmakers and utility to ensure accurate and successful running of the production line. The Warehouse Tech is responsible for warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, line supplying, and warehouse organization. Additonally, all Warehouse Technicians must coordinate and engage with Production Supervisors and QC Technicians to ensure accurate and successful offloading of bulk raw material.

Day Shift: 11:30am - 11:30pm, 12-Hour Rotating 2/2/3 Schedule
48-hour week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)/ 36-Hour week (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.
- Maintain operation of palletizer, including: loading empty pallets into palletizer, removing jams, and keeping the area continuouly supplied with pallets. All consolidated and parital pallets should be removed from the area continuously.
- Pallets placed in unmarked lane must be labeled with location written on the last label.
- Removing finished goods stock from palletizer, properly wrapped and labeled and placing in designated staging areas.
- Keep proper packaging materials supplied to proper filling lines, items not in use should be neatly stacked and wrapped to be placed back in the proper location.
- Always utilize partial pallets first.
- Shrink-wrap lines should be cleared, especially in the infeed area.
- All pallets should be neatly arranged, stacked and sorted based on stability.
- Staging of packaging materials to all lines
- Proper loading of trailers including verification of accuracy of stock counts on materials loaded.
- Proper unloading of trailers including verification of amount received against packing slips and inspection of packages for damages and proper package labeling.
- Must understand proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Sorting and loading scrap pallets and returnable drums.
- Re-packaging of customer returned materials.
- Removing finished goods stock from palletizer and placing in staging area.
- Keep area clean and orderly
- Monitor all Robot functions and assis the mechanical issues whe needed.
- Organize the raw material area, organize totes/drums (outside/inside), organize box and tube area.
- Familiarity with the load capacity of all bulk tanks
- Ensure the accurate off-loading of liquid and powder bulk raw materials and maintain the off-load area(s) to include:
- Capacity of tanks
- Cleanliness of containment area
- Prevention of potential spills
- Verification that outside carriers follow all Sherwin-Williams procedures pertaining to Offload
- Conduct flow meter calibrations for: Mineral Spirits, Ethylene Glycol
- Assist with bulk tank cycle counts
- Performing Drum and Tote Delivery
- Disposing of production waste and trash and maintain the exterior of the building.
- Perform any job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filli
