How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

As a Software/Firmware Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for RF Amplifiers as part of the ANS Engineering. You will work closely with RF Amplifiers team to develop Firmware/Software.  This role will be based in Santa Clara, CA.

 

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Contributing to firmware development
  • Completing Documentation and Unit Testing
  • Helping QA in System Testing and debugging

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in the following Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Software or firmware development experience using C, C++
  • Strong theoretical background or experience in software development on embedded devices
  • Proven expertise with various data Structures and handling bit fields is important.
  • Working knowledge on basic electronic circuits and I2C communication
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

You Will Excite Us If You:

  • Have knowledge in Networking and protocols like TCP/IP, SNMP
  • Have experience with embedded Linux or any other Realtime OS
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication along with problem analyzing and debugging skills.
  • Have programming experience for proprietary protocols over i2c, serial bus (RS232)
  • Are familiar with system level testing of embedded devices and familiarity with related tools
  • Have experience with at least two scripting languages like SHELL, Python, Perl, Java, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
  • Can handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines<
