This role is located onsite in San Diego, CA.
The Software Center of Technical Excellence administrative assistant provides proactive support to the Software Center of Technical Excellence Senior Director as well as the Software Center of Technical Excellence organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature
- Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals
- Preparing presentation materials for leadership meetings
- Making high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company
- Scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating meeting(s) & resolving scheduling conflicts for the Software Center of Technical Excellence Senior Director and direct reports
- Schedule business travel & submit expense reports
- Provide on-site assistance to software organization at one of the Northrop Grumman facilities.
- Track, manage & follow-up on skill-based training for the software organization
- Coordinate and execute employee engagement activities
- Operating independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offering expertise to assist other functions within organization
- Assisting events and activities of major organization initiatives
- Report generation and compilation
- Proactive support in executing day-to-day pop-up related items that facilitate the ability to meet business requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field; or Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field; or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field
- Prior experience as an assistant to a manager, executive and/or professional office
- Experience with Microsoft office products, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable period of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current U.S. government Secret or Top Secret clearance
