Associate Field Services Engineer (Paterson NJ)

Symmetrio, is currently seeking multiple Associate Field Services Engineers in the Paterson area for a national diagnostic imaging service provider. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, adept problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn. Although prior experience in CT/MRI system maintenance is not mandatory, candidates with relevant industry certifications or an Associate's degree will be given preference.
This is a full-time, on-site position that offers healthcare benefits, 401k, PTO, a monthly car allowance, and mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inspections, investigations, calibrations, and repairs of CT and MRI systems under the supervision of senior technicians.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to comply with current OEM specifications and meet equipment safety and mandatory performance levels.
- Learn to utilize remote diagnostics, laptop-based test protocols, power tools, and measuring devices to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Work with medical staff to ensure equipment functions properly and safely.
- Learn to demonstrate and explain correct operation of equipment to medical personnel.
- Communicate effectively with all levels within a healthcare setting and provide high-level customer satisfaction.
- Work independently or in a group, take direction from others, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and/or relevant industry experience.
- Strong technical background and experience working with medical imaging systems preferred. While experience servicing Philips CT/MR systems is desirable, we encourage candidates with relevant technical skills and experience to apply..
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturers' service documentation, troubleshooting techniques, and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a group and take direction from others.
- Valid driver's license.
- Be willing to work weeknights and weekends to a reasonable extent.
