Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for managing the outreach projects funded by the Maggie George Foundation (through the Welcome program) and will serve as the outreach coordinator for the Modern Human Anatomy Program. These duties will make up 60% of the position’s effort. The incumbent will, in addition to managing existing funded outreach projects, search for sources of funding, primarily grants, which will fund further outreach activities to middle school, high school, and undergraduate aged students. The incumbent will also perform all administrative duties associated with the grants, including (but not limited to) curriculum development, student employee management, research, procurement, project management, event coordination, and coordinating with necessary personnel on and off campus. This position is also responsible for clinical research duties which will make up 40% of the total position’s effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing grants and the deadlines/deliverables associated with them

  • Report on current grant process and grant outcomes

  • Search for new sources of outreach funding and implement new grants

  • Develop program curriculum and train graduate student instructors to teach in the outreach programs

  • Conduct research on program outcomes through surveys, which includes writing COMIRB applications

  • Coordinate events including their purchasing, catering, reservations, and educational duties

  • Manage the outreach activities of the Modern Human Anatomy Program

  • Assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical trials and studies

  • Interview prospective subjects for a variety of research clinical trials. Educate potential subjects on the details of the studies through phone contacts and personal interviews

  • Schedule subject participation in research clinical trial, coordinating availability of necessary space, and clinical research support (e.g., physician, nurse practitioner, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy)

  • Collect, code, and analyze data obtained from research in an accurate and timely manner

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
