SUMMARY Data impacts everything we do at Andersen, and we are rapidly on our way to being a data-driven company but there is more to be done. The Data Operations team provides a comprehensive suite of integrated cloud-based platform technologies including Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, and Qlik that are core components of Andersen’s data and analytics ecosystem. We see an expansion of our services into Kafka and Terraform as well and need to augment our team with someone experienced as a Snowflake platform admin/architect to create and maintain a dependable, optimized environment for data engineers and users with a willingness to learn and support other platforms
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Snowflake and other platforms within SLA guidelines including disaster recovery and ad hoc and proactive administrative and support activities.
• Maintain Platform standards including naming, role-based access standards, warehouse usage, record retention policies and help implement and maintain an FinOps model
• Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams on evaluating new technologies
• Partner with other platform admins to learn and support Fivetran and/or DBT
• Enhance usage monitoring with dashboards and monitoring tools and use this information to help Snowflake users optimize their warehouse usage and SQL queries
• Maintain key informational content, drive platform adoption, and champion a strong user community
• Document knowledge in the form of incident notes, technical articles, and contributions to knowledge bases within specific areas of expertise.
