Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,100 students annually.

Job Description
CCC is seeking an adjunct on-farm Welding instructor. The Farm Welding course will be offered in a flexible schedule format. This unique position plays a crucial role in providing students with an opportunity to increase their farm welding skillsets and become more valuable and attractive to potential employers. Instructional responsibilities include oversight, development, implementation of projects, and teaching students the proper welding techniques. This selected candidate will provide guidance and support to students, addressing their questions and concerns effectively. Assessment of student performance through tasks, exams, and other evaluation methods is expected.
Students will be taught about the equipment required for farm welding jobs and how to safely handle related equipment. Students will gain an understanding of Oxyacetylene Cutting, M.I.G., and Arc welding and gain the ability to recognize and identify the qualities of a good weld. Students will also learn how to utilize proper measuring techniques.
SALARY
$650 per credit hour.

Qualifications
- Must have the ability and skill to properly instruct students in using various welding equipment, including, but not limited to, chop saws, cutting torches; angle grinders; Sawzall, and arc and M.I.G. welders.
- In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will develop a course curriculum and assess student learning.
- Associate degree and/or at least two years of professional experience in the field.
