Description
The Default Admin Team Lead contributes to an array of processes and functions pertaining to Document Execution, MERS, Assignment of Mortgages, Collateral, and Lien Release. Process and function oversight consists of, but not limited to, default document workflow assignments, default document quality control, breach letter quality control, assignment of mortgage (AOM) & power of attorney (POA) vendor relationship management, collateral ordering, MERS reconciliation, and upkeep of internal process documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in managing the AOM and POA vendor alongside the Post-Closing Manager
- Distributes daily workflow to Default Document Team Members
- Maintains and reconciles/monitors internal pipelines and dashboards for Default Document, MERS and Lien Release
- Serve as first point of contact for audits related to MERS and Lien release
- Assist with Default Document escalations and higher tier exceptions
- Support team as subject matter expert for title related inquires
- Oversee the maintenance and audit of the Bank’s POA library with assistance from team
- Monitor and assist team with certain MERS reject and warning reports
Requirements
Skills:
- Experience within the mortgage industry, specifically Default and title curative
- Familiarity with ICE products: MERS, MSP, AllRegs, and BKFS (preferred, not required)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to review and understand complex title related documents and determine appropriate curative action
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with ability to tailor engagements to specific 3rd party client needs
- Expertise with reviewing and understanding both state statutes and investor requirements
- Robust decision making and prioritization skills
Education:
- High School diploma and/or some college
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a related Mortgage Servicing/Support field, i.e. Lien Release, MERS, or Default Document
