Job Description

The Finance Reporting Manager will own the financial reporting responsibility consisting of board packages, month-end financial results and maintenance of key dashboards at the Group level.  He/She will also lead the overall enterprise consolidation process including review of inter-company transactions and profit eliminations, corporate consolidations accounting, consolidated general ledger and ownership of the consolidated trial balance. This is inclusive of ensuring proper accounting for the Company’s corporate level transactions, such as corporate allocations, accrual calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations. The Finance Reporting Manager will coordinate, manage and support monthly consolidation close activities for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. He/She will ensure that key financial reports are delivered in a timely manner with appropriate insight and that information is reconciled back to source data. Using a firm understanding of our entity structure, general ledger and financial systems, the Finance Reporting Manager will drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and data. This position partners with the finance operations team, FPA, and key business units to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting processes. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial reporting, including internal and externals statements.  
  • Provide insights into financial performance and variances.  
  • Oversees the consolidated financial closings, special transactions, local currency and functional currency accounting processes. 
  • Oversee and reconcile intercompany transactions and CTA to eliminate discrepancies and ensure proper elimination in consolidation. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that new accounting pronouncements are appropriately applied by the various entities within the company. 
  • Takes ownership of the Company’s Group Consolidations and accounting process and policy manual. 
  • Responsible for evaluating the Company’s foreign exchange exposure and implementing the necessary accounting procedures and controls. 
  • Participates in the development of software applications/processes implemented for both the business and accounting functions. 
  • Clear understanding of differences between US GAAP, and IFRS is required.  
  • Uses critical thinking to identify appropriate accounting treatment and collaborates with the Technical Accounting Manager and business leaders to ensure favorable accounting treatment where necessary. 
  • Works cross functionally with Finance Operations, FP&A and external auditors.  
  • Work with auditors during financial audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.      
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the consolidation process. 
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address system-related issues and implement upgrades. 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant professional certification preferred 
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite 
  • Several years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation in a technology-based company 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and public company financial reporting requirements 
  • Knowledge of consolidation software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities with strong organizational skills and strategic thinking 
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork along with adaptability and flexibility
