MANTECH seeks a motivated Associate Software Developer eager to grow their skills while supporting the improvement of government IT systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of mission-critical software, working in a collaborative environment where learning and innovation are encouraged. This position is in Herndon, VA.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• You will support the full lifecycle of software development and reporting tools while learning from experienced engineers and delivering high-impact solutions for government clients.
• Contribute to software sustainment, enhancement, and development tasks across enterprise applications and reporting tools
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy Java-based code and BIRT reports to meet system and business requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing reports and applications, including developing and optimizing SQL queries for Oracle databases
• Assist with refining reporting requirements to ensure alignment with business needs and customer expectations
• Support development of front-end interfaces and application components using Java and related technologies
   

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an additional 4 years of experience might be substituted for a degree
• 3+ years of related software development experience
• Experience working with Java 7 or 8
• Experience writing complex SQL queries
• Experience in supporting development using C++
• Experience writing reports using BIRT
• Experience working with Oracle or other relational database environments
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Momentum Financial Systems

Clearance Requirements:

• Active U.S. Secret clearance is required
• Special Background Investigation must be current (within the past 5 years)
• Clearance must be transferable and subject to government approval to support the project
   

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time
