Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

Position Brand Description:
The Competitive Continuous Improvement (CCI) team provides leadership in operational excellence and productivity efforts by combining knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing with Lean principles and tools. Methods used to deliver these productivity improvements include both event-based (Lighthouse Projects, Kaizen Events), as well as nonevent-based daily improvements.
The focus of the CCI Coach role is to partner with all organizational levels across the IDAP (Indianapolis Device Assembly & Packaging) site, and global functions to deploy operational excellence standards and support both event and nonevent-based continuous improvement. Results include, but are not limited to, cycle time reduction, increased asset effectiveness, expense reduction, improved quality, as well as increased employee morale at all levels due to more time being spent on activities that are value-added to the patient.
Key Objectives / Deliverables:
- Lead and manage the site Lean deployment plan, and periodic review of maturity vs. Lean Maturity standards
- Lead annual MSOE assessment for the site
- Engage in and share content when appropriate during site CCILT
- Contribute to one of the site flow teams; understand and connect CI/Lean needs and provide support as needed
- Deploy and coach teams at the site on Lean tools/framework, inclusive of A3 problem solving
- Partner with the CCI team to deploy/educate on Operational Excellence standards
- Lead launch events to train Lean Leaders and support deployment of Lean in various areas across the site
- Partner with leadership to ensure all employees are part of the Lean journey.
- Serve as ongoing Lean coach for areas already deployed, ensuring the discipline to sustain Lean remains in place; assess areas already deployed to promote continuous improvement
- Capture benefits of Lean program and celebrate successes
- Partner with business areas to facilitate projects/problem solving, etc. to meet business needs
- Provide support to ensure robust Organizational Change Management, processes and monitoring plans are in place to sustain improvements.
- Engage routinely with sponsors to provide status and escalate where appropriate as issues arise.
- Ensure Lean principles and tools are integrated into both solution design, project execution and implementation.
- Maintain CCI Coach certification.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior team or project leadership experience
- Demonstrated relevant experience in a GMP facility
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and interpersonal interaction skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Ability to lead teams and projects
- Ability to influence without authority across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with strong self-management and organizational skills.
Additional Preferences:
- Previous experience with Lilly manufacturing
- Knowledge of cGMPs
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Other Information:
- Day shift, possible after hour support.
- Project delivery and/or Plant Shutdown may coincide with company holidays.
- Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, projects, etc..
- Applicant will work in various areas within the plant.
