The Opportunity
Puig is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the AP US team, focusing on Retail, Wholesale, E-commerce, and Fashion markets. This newly created position reports directly to the headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. As an Accounts Payable Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the entire AP cycle, with a specific emphasis on serving as a key liaison for the local teams and vendors associated with all Puig North America brands. In addition to managing direct debit balances and analyzing open items, you will collaborate across the business to provide robust support to colleagues regarding Accounts Payable procedures.
What you'll get to do
• Invoice Management: Handle, verify, book, and diligently follow up on invoices and credit notes received.
• Be a key business partner for the entire Puig US team including Marketing, Operations, HR, Sales, etc.
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and company policies.
• System Support and Training: Provide comprehensive support and training on systems such as SAP and MyPO to local teams, reinforcing efficient processes.
• Vendor Intermediation: Manage inquiries and payment terms, acting as the primary contact for strategic and critical vendors.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts.
• AP Process Improvements: Review the unique requirements of each channel (retail, wholesale, DTC, and E-commerce) to enhance efficiency.
• Balance Reconciliation: Review and reconcile direct debit balances and open items to ensure accuracy.
• Issue Resolution: Research and resolve any discrepancies in invoices with precision.
• Procedural Adherence: Ensure all Accounts Payable tasks are executed with rigor, meticulous attention to detail, and in accordance with group procedures.
• General Accounting Support: Assist the accounting department with various tasks as needed.
We'd love to meet you if you have
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Accounting or Accounts Payable position.
• Experience in the fashion or beauty industry is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation
As required by New York State's salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000.00 - $90,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
