Job Description

Purpose

Works independently tracking, forecasting, and gaiting external spend for PDS&T programs. Works closely with Product Development Directors to ensure external spend is updated,  forecasted and gaited appropriately. Oversee and track actual spend for external activity. Review monthly payment schedules to track and update invoice activity.

Responsibilities

•Accountable for oversight of forecasting, gating, analysis, and reporting for external costs  

•   Utilize internal systems to create, collect, summarize, & analyze external spend..

•   Conduct monthly meetings with senior level project managers and directors.

•   Complete monthly external cost variance commentaries as required.

•  Work with cross-functional partners to accurately track forecasted spend.

•  Accurately enter forecast and track actuals.

•  Challenge status quo ensuring accuracy of final deliverable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, 4+ years relevant experience, without Bachelor’s Degree; 6-8 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Flexible, able to work with minimal supervision; have good analytical organizational & team skills as demonstrated by ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Familiar with basic financial/accounting principles with experience working with budgets & contracts required.
• Thorough knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Word.
• Ability to multi-task effectively & efficiently as well as adapt quickly to change.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools desired
