Job Description:

Job Summary: 

Performs comprehensive audits of residential appraisal reports and evaluations to ensure they meet industry standards, internal guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates reconsiderations of value (ROV's), participates in resolving file conflicts, and serve as an escalation point/subject matter expert for teammates, underwriting and post-closing. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Major Responsibilities: 

• Conduct thorough reviews of residential appraisal reports for completeness and compliance with industry-accepted appraisal practices, techniques, and internal loan production guidelines. 
• Assess the reasonableness of the conclusions presented in appraisal reports and identify any conditions that must be met to make a sound loan decision. 
• Review and resolve unique or complex escalated reviews. Participate in resolving file conflicts, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure resolution.
• Facilitate the process for Reconsideration of Values (ROVs) ensuring that all 
  requests are handled promptly and effectively. 
• Meet established review production standards, ensuring timely and accurate 
  appraisal reviews. 
• Maintain detailed records of appraisal reviews and provide regular reports on 
  findings and recommendations to senior management. 
• Remain current with industry regulations, appraisal standards, and best practices to ensure all reviews are conducted in compliance with applicable guidelines. 

Qualifications you’ll need 

The Basics: 

• Associates Degree in Statistics, Finance or Business Administration and Management
• 5 + years Residential Appraisal review, Quality Control, Escalation Approver, 
  Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Strong Analytical and critical thinking skills 
• 6 + years Statistics, USPAP, Residential Appraisal Review, Analytical background
• Certified Residential Appraiser or Certified General Appraiser

Bonus Points If You Have: 

• Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Finance or Business Administration and Management

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $52,800.00 to $74,160.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
