What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Handling the updating of benefit practices based on changing policies and legislations;
• Coordinate deductions in payroll and remittances with Finance for the respective government agencies;
• Act as liaison with government institutions like SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc. as needed;
• Secure the compliance to government mandated statutory regulations such as Certificate of Contribution, parental/sickness certification, reimbursements, etc;
• Handle company HMO program, and liaise with HMO provider;
• Provide advice and support to our Canvanauts with their benefits of both company provided benefits and government mandated benefits;
• Ensure timely resolution of employee requests and queries associated to benefits;
• Assist in regular benefits reporting, renewals and audits;
• Maintain and protect confidential data with outstanding discretion; and
• Drive operational performance and service excellence within the benefits function, and identify areas for improvement.

You're probably a match if:

• You have extensive experience in handling local statutory benefits
• You have prior experience liaising with government agencies, and is familiar with Philippine laws and regulations
• You are knowledgeable on Philippine government-mandated employee benefits 
• You have hands on experience in HRIS system (e.g. Workday) is a plus
• You have excellent capabilities in HMO administration and vendor coordination
• You have a background in personal data privacy and best practices
• You give importance on customer experience
• You are adept in working in a high-volume work environment
• You are very willing to collaborate and have a solution-focused approach with a can-do mindset
• You have an excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
• You are a self-starter, able to multitask and work with different internal teams
• You are confident and calm under pressure, able to quickly adapt within a changing environment
• You can communicate clearly with different audiences by combining narratives and data

The People Central Tier 2 team sits within the Shared Services, and is passionate about delivering second line support for in scope processes and tools such as Compensation Changes, Philippine Benefits and People systems and platforms including Workday, CultureAmp, Sprout, and Jira. The team ensures the processes and tools are optimised and efficient, allowing Canvanauts to focus on doing their best work.
About the roleThe PH Benefits Analyst sits within the People Central - Tier 2 Team and will be the single point of contact for all things related to benefits, statutory remittances, securing government loans, scheduled deductions, and HMO administration in the Philippines
