Job Description
Social Services Director
Salary Range: $62,500 - $73,100 annually
We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-centered Social Services Director who believes that strong communities are built through citizenship, connection, and care. In this role, you will lead the day-to-day Social Services function within the community, supporting residents and families while partnering closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure each person is treated with dignity, respect, and belonging.

Position Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of Social Services in the assigned community, working directly with residents, family members, and coordinating care and support across the interdisciplinary team.
What You’ll Do
- Assess, evaluate, and work to meet the psychosocial needs of residents.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families to support well-being, belonging, and quality of life.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and advocate for resident needs.
- Assist in the preparation of the Social Services budget and maintain compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Assist with creating, implementing, reviewing, and revising Social Services policies and procedures, updating them as needed.
- Provide information and referrals to residents, families, and staff, linking individuals to internal and external resources.
- Share information regarding available financial resources and help maintain and ensure continuation of monetary benefits for which residents may be entitled or eligible.
- Mediate disputes among residents, families, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Support crisis intervention efforts and help individuals develop healthy alternative coping strategies.
- Design, implement, and evaluate programs and services that serve individual needs and interests.
- Foster a culture of citizenship by encouraging engagement, mutual respect, and positive community relationships.
- In compliance with Company policy, if applicable, interview, hire, develop, supervise, and manage the performance of direct-report staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
