The Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being is offering innovative programs, including the MSLS and MSCN degrees. Position Overview
The Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being, College of Health Professions, is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a full-time, 12-month faculty position to teach in the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN). The MSCN program prepares students to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. This position may be hybrid, combining remote and in-person responsibilities at the UNT Health Fort Worth campus. The faculty member will engage in innovative teaching, student mentorship, course and curriculum development, and continuous quality improvement. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contributing to the ACEND accreditation process, collaborating on research, and participating in service across the department, college, and university.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in nutrition or a closely related field.
- Minimum two years of professional experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, including research and publications.
- Experience teaching nutrition and dietetic courses or precepting dietetic interns.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition science, evidence-based practices, and current trends in clinical and community nutrition.
- Strong research skills, including study design, data analysis, scholarly writing, and presentations.
- Experience developing and delivering engaging online and in-person course content.
- Experience mentoring and advising students on career development, research, and professional growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with faculty, students, and community partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems for course delivery and student engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
