Location:
Hybrid to Kirkland, WA and Fort Myers, FL
Remote to those outside of those areas.

Position Overview:
Deep Sync is seeking an experienced SVP of Engineering to lead our growing Engineering department.

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering at Deep Sync, you will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team. In this role, you will oversee the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Engineering, Data Science and AI departments. We are looking for a visionary leader who can drive innovation, build scalable systems, foster a culture of collaboration, and align engineering efforts with the company’s long-term goals.


The SVP of Engineering will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions that fuel Deep Sync’s growth and maintain its reputation for technical excellence.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an engineering strategy aligned with Deep Sync’s business objectives, ensuring scalability, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers cultivating a collaborative, diverse, inclusive, and innovative culture
  • Oversee the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions, ensuring the effective execution of product roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Sales, Business Development, Customer Success and Support teams
  • Establish and track engineering KPIs to measure performance, system reliability, and team productivity, using insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with the executive team to develop long-term engineering goals, operational budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Drive technical vision and direction, ensuring Deep Sync remains at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Lead Deep Sync’s infrastructure and platform strategies to support growth, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness
  • Lead and drive Deep Sync’s AI strategies driving future growth opportunities
  • Represent the Engineering team in executive and cross-functional leadership meetings, advocating for resources and driving alignment on company priorities
  • Understand a broad range of advertising & software engineering concepts, and know how, when, and when not to use them. Dive deep into a wide range of technical problems offering suggestions and feedback to your team
  • Oversee, together with IT, vendor relationships as it pertains contracts for tools, software, platforms, and services critical to engineering operations
  • Be a culture leader within the organization striving to influence through your own personal actions
  • Be a Leader in championing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B)
  • Availability to travel to on-site locations for team retreats, leadership meetings and the annual all hands events approximately 25% of the time

Requirements

 Must Have:

  • 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 10+ years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility within software development or technical operations
  • Proven success managing engineering organizations of 25+ team members in a remote or distributed environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading and directing strategy for teams of data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers.
  • AdTech experience
  • Expertise in designing, building, and scaling complex technical systems, including backend infrastructure, frontend platforms, and cloud infrastructure management
  • Experience managing a data science organization and an understanding of AI/data science methodologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, SnowFlake, DataBricks, etc.) and modern engineering tools and practices
  • Deep understanding of privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security best practices, ensuring compliance across all systems
  • Strong leadership qualities, including emotional intelligence, servant leadership, and a focus on mentorship and team development
  • Experience with financial oversight, including dev
