HR Service Center Specialist

As our HR Service Center Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical Human Resource (HR) activities in support of our internal clients (employees and managers) and our HR Centers of Expertise.
This role will also be the first point of contact for inquiries into HR from internal and external clients, responding with a high level of customer service, professionalism and promptness using our customer relationship management software. You will report to the Human Resources Services Manager.
You will:
- Process new hires from time of job offer through orientation. Tasks include (but are not limited to) creating IT requests, ordering and following up on background checks, ensuring all documentation is signed, bonus and relocation funds are processed, employment eligibility, and I-9s, coordinating new employee onboarding sessions
- Enter data into HR Information System in an accurate, complete and timely fashion. Tasks include but are not limited to entering new hires, terminations, leave of absence
- Consistently monitor federal and state leaves reviewing documents and triaging as needed; monitor and triage ADA/ADAA requests and track progress
- Respond to unemployment claims and processes tuition reimbursement
- In partnership with Talent Acquisition, temporary and contract employees ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained before starting
- Complete other administrative activities including processing invoices, ensuring compliance posters are kept up to date, auditing processes and activities for accuracy, maintaining electronic and paper employee files and other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree, in Human Resources or similar field with two experience or in lieu of education, five (5) or more years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) Experience with HRIS systems

Compensation
Salary Range: $53,235 – $70,875 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
