Job Summary:
With leadership direction, the Sourcing Senior Consultant II sources and manages a combination of assignments and categories of medium to high complexity and risk in support of Sourcing & Procurement Solutions (SPS) objectives. This role is in the business operations sourcing group and will source categories including travel and events, logistics, facilities management, office supplies / MRO and financial services. Experience with related categories is preferred. This role consults with clients by coordinating sourcing/project teams and advisory boards by integrating efforts across functions and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively assess sourcing and category opportunities by gathering spend information, company purchasing patterns, competitive position, structured analysis of supplier/category industry, economics, market conditions, and expiring contracts
• Use strong industry knowledge when partnering with others to establish sourcing strategies which include evaluation of sourcing alternatives, identifying the sourcing approach, and establishing project plan / timeline to deliver an effective sourcing solution
• Negotiate contract terms and perform all aspects of the contract process
• Develop and execute an overarching category strategy and plan for applicable categories
• Perform Supplier Performance Management (SPM) for assigned commodities including contract inventory, segmentation, risk assessments, contingency planning and validation of right pricing
• Assist in the creation and implementation of a SPM plan and internal compliance standards and measurements
• Participate in business reviews with suppliers and internal clients to measure supplier performance, contract adherence and assist with issue resolution

This job does not have supervisory duties.Education and Experience:
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
• 4 or more years of experience (Preferred)
• CPSM (CMP) or similar designation (Preferred)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.
Functional Skills:
• Intermediate knowledge of procurement and contracting techniques and principles
• Sourcing for medium to high complexity commodities
• Experience with RFP development and execution
• Experience independently leading negotiations
• Project management and organizational skills
• Analytical capabilities, including cost models
• Ability to assist with issue analysis, solution development, and conflict resolution
• Experience with Ariba sourcing tool is preferred
