Senior Data Scientist - AI Agents & Generative AI (f/m/d)*

YOUR MISSION:

As a Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d)*, you will evaluate and improve the performance of our AI Agents. This will involve developing evaluation tasks for agent behaviour, fine-tuning foundation models, researching and prototyping new AI Agent features and frameworks, and investigating issues affecting our customers. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the behaviour of our models and AI Agents. You’ll work directly with product engineering and sales teams, leading by example on evaluating and improving our product - from testing new AI system optimisation frameworks to fine-tuning STT models on new languages and accents.

You’ll join the AI & Data Science Team, a collaborative group of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists that own Parloa’s ML Evaluation Platform and the machine learning models that power our product. The team is responsible for keeping Parloa at the forefront of research and development of Generative AI and AI Agent based products.

 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Take ownership of data science and machine learning projects that help us improve our generative AI product suite
• Develop and evaluate production Agentic AI systems for real customer use cases
• Directly support and collaborate with product engineering and sales, analyzing the performance of our AI products and prototyping new features
• Evaluate and train or fine-tune a variety of models, including LLMs, intent classification, STT, and TTS models
• Execute Machine Learning research and development projects end-to-end, rapidly turning new ideas into customer facing features

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Experience developing and owning production ML models and systems. Experience with LLMs, NLP, or information retrieval is a strong plus
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with using using Python in production
• Experience working with big data technologies (e.g. Spark) and using ML Ops platforms (e.g. MLFlow)
• Experience with owning the ML process end-to-end: from gathering requirements to experimentation to productionisation, monitoring and optimization.
• Experience in leading medium-sized technical projects (3-9 months roadmap)
• Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
