PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs and develops electronic circuits for the automotive industry, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs. Manages technical aspects of projects according to that need to meet program timing. Interfaces with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing groups to ensure the quality design of the final product.

Typical Duties:

• Follow Product Development Process to develop and deliver HW designs.
• Leads Programs Reviews with the HW Team.
• Leads alignment meetings between HW, PCB and EMC-SITA, Thermal, Manufacturing and Mechanical teams.
• Maintains accurate budget forecast.
• Maintains Hardware Timeline in sync with internal and external teams.
• Updates and maintains Hardware Project Status and reports in Management Project Reviews.
• Reports out Project Status in the Process Audits.
• Participates in Customer design review meetings.
• Manages hardware changes in conjunction with the project change control board.
• Coordinates testing of the hardware as defined in the test plan: including Bench testing, EMC, SITA, HSIS verifications and Customer specified verification tests.
• Maintains a list of hardware issues, and highlights risks to the program where appropriate.
• Leads HW activities during quotations to develop an application specific electrical solution.
• Assists with Schematic and Circuit Design as needed.
• Support Technical Design Reviews.
• Assist with Build and test hardware as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, BSEE-Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• 7 + years of related experience
• Leads projects through the HW Development Process by coordinating tasks for various skill groups within the HW Organization
• Maintains and Hardware Timeline to internal and external teams
• Coordinates testing of the hardware as defined in the test plan: including Bench testing, EMC, SITA, HSIS verifications and Customer specified verification tests (as required)

DESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:

• MSEE degree considered a plus
• Project Management Experience
• HW Design Experience
• Schematic capture Experience
• EMC debugging
• Digital signals/microcontrollers/GPUs

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (i.e. Overtime, Travel, etc.): Occasional travel required (domestic and international). Occasional overtime or schedule flexibility is required.
