As a Key Account Manager, you take pride in representing Baxter and building the new business pipeline for Global Services. Your keen understanding of our deep portfolio of products and having the ability to develop, advance and grow new business opportunities impacts our ability to build unique solutions to meet the needs of customers. Supported equipment include Baxter pumps, beds, stretchers, lifts, OR tables, and vitals/cardiology machines. Our customers trust you and appreciate your knowledge and curiosity when finding solutions to meet their needs.
Your Team
As our Key Account Manager, you partner with Marketing to develop a target list and work with IDN Directors, Associate Directors of Strategic Solutions and Account Executives to engage in funnel development, advancement opportunities and ultimately solutions for the East Region. You enjoy working cross functionally and at all levels of the healthcare organization in break into new accounts and expand customer relationships. The insights and feedback you share with your team and to cross-functional partners help validate and inform priorities and changes.
What you'll be doing
- Leading efforts to segment and identify target accounts by partnering with cross functional team members across global business unit's marketing and account teams to drive funnel generation and funnel advancement activities.
- Engaging in account planning activities to identify key account customers and decision makers, establishing relationships, developing deal strategy, crafting deal structure, and implementing strategic plans.
- Providing marketing with feedback on customer and marketing intelligence, and ideas for new service offerings and value propositions to further expand and grow Global Services.
- Developing and communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual commercial strategies and plans to accomplish profitable revenue growth. Monthly funnel analytics based on deal stage.
- Increasing the new business knowledge and skills across the Global Services Commercial organization, which may include leading training sessions, coaching TBMs on opportunities, and the development of a new business framework or playbook to gain new business and expand current accounts.
- Continually meeting with customers to develop relationships, understand their needs, and proactively address potential issues. Building and managing relationships with major hospital systems, IDN’s.
- Crafting and maintaining a collaborative, performance-based culture, consistent with the Baxter commitment and focused on achieving profitable revenue growth. Mentoring and developing sales personnel in accordance with the established sales and organization competences.
- Effectively transitioning client relationships to the Service TBM once customer is on-boarded and established so that TBM can continue to cultivate business.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 7 years of experience in sales with at least 5 years of experience in the Acute Care/Hospital capital equipment or service space; additional experience with Acute Care rental therapy products ideal.
- Experience in building and managing relationships with major hospital systems and IDNs highly preferred
- Ability to travel 50-75% (air and car)
- History of outstanding performance results with possessing the ability to lead, delegate, drive performance and communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Ability to problem solve and possessing a strong business sense including working knowledge of business financials, structuring the financial aspects of a sales package and outline the benefits of products and services to health system executives.
