Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President, Data Integration & Delivery Manager will report to the Vice President, Data Strategy & Delivery and this individual will lead multiple teams that support data warehousing and data architecture. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the group responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL. This role requires strong project management skills, deep expertise in database structures, and proficiency in data warehouse design methodologies, such as star schemas. The ideal candidate will drive the delivery of scalable, high-performance data solutions to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role will be in the office with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Leading a team that is responsible for Designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting
• Reviewing presentations, manuscripts, graphs, and tables to ensure accuracy and quality
• Developing standards of operation when handling and archiving data
• Maintaining data management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems
• Overseeing the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures
• Evaluating the design, selection, and implementation of database changes by comparing them with business requirements and design documents
• Ensuring data and information security by integrating and upholding digital security systems
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
• Enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in all data integration processes.
• Stay updated on emerging data integration tools and governance technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to teams of direct reports.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Analysis within large-scale data warehouse environments.
• Proven experience managing a team or multiple teams of direct reports.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, compliance, and security best practices.
• Extensive experience with database technologies, preferably SQL Server and Azure Synapse Analytics is preferred.
• Experience in the Commercial and/or Specialty Insurance industry is required.
• Knowledge of financial data structures and business intelligence concepts.
• Experience working with third-party data providers and managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented insights.
• Strong analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Experience managing both data teams directly and leading efforts through matrixed reporting lines

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and other forms
