About the role

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individuals to join our warehouse team as an Inventory Associate. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our inventory records through regular counts, audits, and processing of damages. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

This position is eligible for a $1500 retention bonus and $125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment!

Work Schedule:


12pm - End of Production (on average 10–12-hour work days)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules and procedures
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs 
  • Use handheld scanners to scan products using a warehouse management system
  • Use inventory management software or WMS to accurately record inventory levels and locations
  • Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory counts and system records
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and inventory control team to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation tasks to ensure quality control and the data integrity
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and complete daily logs
  • Update system databases with cycle count results
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing inventory counting tasks.
  • Communicate with associates from other shifts
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable) 
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Accurately match numbers & letters
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • No prior warehouse experience required but preferred. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
  • Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
  • Flexible to work overtime preferred
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

  • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
