The position of Senior Snowflake Data Engineer will be Remote!
Summary
The Senior Cloud Data Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines / ETL workflows, and data objects in Snowflake Data Warehouse. Expertise in Snowflake and Azure cloud platforms along with ETL tools. In-depth understanding of the current state of data architecture and design, and the ability to develop the target data model on cloud as well as data integration pipelines using various tools such as Informatica, Snowflake native tools, and scripting languages (Python). The Data Engineer will ensure optimal performance of the data objects and data pipelines in Snowflake.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop data pipelines, ETL workflows to populate the cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse on Snowflake and Azure using tools such as Informatica Power Center, Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Snowflake native tools (Snowpipe, Snowpark), and Python
- Build ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from multiple data sources, including Oracle, SQL Server, and APIs, into Snowflake
- Design, develop, document, and maintain scalable data models for Snowflake Data Warehouse and Azure Data Lake
- Design and develop Snowflake data objects (tables, views, stored procedures etc.)
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization in Snowflake. Ensure good performance of the data pipelines. Ensure optimal storage and compute costs in Snowflake by designing efficient data objects and data pipelines
- Optimize queries, storage, and compute resources in Snowflake to maximize performance and cost-efficiency
- Implement best practices for data partitioning, caching, and clustering in Snowflake
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout all stages of the ETL pipeline
- Develop and implement data security policies and procedures in Snowflake. Create and manage user accounts and roles in Snowflake
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures in Snowflake
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data solutions
- Research and stay up-to-date on Snowflake best practices and new features
- Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering for data warehouses, data lakes, and business intelligence solutions
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing ETL and data pipelines for data warehouses
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse
- Strong experience with SQL and scripting languages like Python
- Experience in Snowflake native tools like Snowpipe, Snowpark
- Preferably 2+ years of experience in Informatica IICS/
