Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for a Site Supervisor at our Oak Creek, WI facility. This Air Separation facility produces and supplies Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Argon to the local regional market.

You will gain a full understanding of all aspects of the site's responsibilities, plant operations and maintenance with a focus on leadership skills. Responsibilities will include supervision of the air separation plant and distribution terminals operations, maintenance, safety, and record-keeping.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Experience with air separation fractional distillation processes, or distribution/terminal operations is helpful.
  • Maintenance experience in an industrial plant is helpful but is not required.
  • Supervisory experience with operations/maintenance/driving teams.
  • A successful track record in EH&S and Quality.
  • A self-starter with validated leadership experience.
  • Highly motivated to plan and ensure the execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with and to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Shown computer skills.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Safety performance, Safety Process compliance and process safety management.
  • Providing environmental, safety and quality training for our operations, fleet maintenance, and driving teams.
  • Develop and build a positive relationship with our customers.
  • 24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
  • Working and communicating regularly and effectively with the site manager, asset manager, regional maintenance manager, and technical support
  • Handle driver’s hours of service in accordance with company policies and Federal/State regulations.
  • Provide real-time after-hours support for all driver and customer activities supporting central team at Logistics Center.
  • Analyze the daily schedule on LB Shell to ensure continuous product supply by handling daily driver availability and coordination with maintenance staff to provide vital equipment.
  • Perform for all local Distribution employees through regular formal and informal observations such as Delivery and Yard Observations, customer site visits, driver ride-a-longs, plant walk arounds, etc.
  • Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including troubleshooting plant process problems, directly supervising daily plant activities, and driving plant projects.
  • Working with support resources to achieve efficiency targets in all areas.
  • Identifying maintenance concerns, then developing and implementing corrective and preventative measures.
  • Work with tactical planning and delivery logistics planning to ensure inventory management of the facility’s products.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • A high school diploma
