Registered Nurse (RN) PRN STICU

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for our Surgical Trauma ICU at Inova Loudoun Hospital. This is a PRN position (day shift). 

Inova Loudoun Hospital is a growing 183-bed nationally recognized acute-care community hospital with a rich history of proudly serving our growing and diverse community since 1912. We provide compassionate and comprehensive care for the entire family. 

Our Surgical Trauma ICU unit is an 11-bed unit on the first floor with close proximity to both the OR and the ER.  We care for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery patients, along with post-procedural patients.  We also care for Intermediate Care level surgical and trauma patients as well.

Patient to Nurse Ratio: 2:1 (ICU patients) and 3:1 (IMC patients) in the STICU. 

Schedule: PRN Day shift (7am-7pm)

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. 2-3+ years ICU RN experience strongly recommended for PRN.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.  If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association. 
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
