CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Pasqually’s Pizza and Wings restaurants, has an immediate opening at our Support Center based in Irving, Texas for an experienced Learning & Development Content Intern that will report to the Learning & Development Senior Director.

Overview: The Mission Statement of the Learning & Development Department is "To create and provide the tools and content to ensure that our Teams understand what they need to know, when and where they need to know it, and to have a ton of fun in the process.” Our L&D Content Developer intern will be an important member of the team to help achieve this goal.

This position also offers some work from home “WFH” flexibility.

Essential Functions: 

Design:

• Create and review a variety of restaurant training content using both basic and advanced instructional tools.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the L&D team to develop new content
• Review and interpret storyboards from the SMEs to create new content for the Training revamp project.
• Combine and compile content from a variety of existing training materials to create new content that will reflect new standards and processes.  
• Follow a prescribed Style Guide and build templates to maintain cohesion across multiple learning modules.

Deliver:

• Proofread and incorporate red penned edits from content into new and existing content
• Upload and maintain a network of Learning Content across various channels to make sure information is available when and where it is needed.
• QA Test and modify/update content based on the findings and results of testing to ensure the product is flawless to the End Learner
• Work with the Learning Team to deliver and present content to our global network of restaurants.

Qualifications:

• Experience with design, specifically in Learning and/or Instructional Design preferred
• Experience with Adobe Suite, Articulate 360, and Rise 360 are a plus
• Experience in Video editing/production is a plus
• Microsoft Office Experience with strong aptitude in Word/PowerPoint is a plus
• Strong written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams
• Family entertainment, restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a geographically dispersed/ multi-unit business also strongly preferred

Physical Demands:
To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with the repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
