Location: Rochester General Hospital - 1425 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY 14621
Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours
Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with every 3rd weekend
SUMMARY:
As a Cook, you provide the fuel that keeps our teams running and help meet the important nutritional needs of our patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Food Preparation. Prepare food and baked goods following the daily assignments; maintain sufficient supplies of hot and cold foods for daily needs; assist Senior Cook in food preparation as requested
- Customer Service. Demonstrate excellent level of customer service, assist as needed and answer any questions to the best of your ability
- Documentation. Follow all departmental HAACP procedures including logging of all temperatures
- Sanitation. Ensure all equipment used is cleaned to code standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- None.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2-4 years previous experience in related field preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

14621The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
