What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the R&D strategy. In this position, you will closely communicate with various teams in the company to understand and define the R&D scope of the company. You will help plan out the technical development roadmap.
- Communicate with business teams of the company to understand the R&D needs.
- Analyze competing technologies in the market and in literature.
- Develop strategies to further highlight the competitive advantages of the company’s technology in the market.
- Perform process conceptualization studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to define research and development projects.
- Advise leadership of the technical development roadmap
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- BS/MS/MA with 8+ years of experience or PhD with 4+ years of experience in chemical/mechanical/aerospace engineering industry.
- Professional experience in heat transfer, heat exchanger design, or thermal management, conceptual engineering and flowsheeting, and early-stage techno-economic evaluations.
- Experience utilizing process simulation tools such as ASPEN Plus.
- Theoretical understanding of thermodynamics, chemical process design, heat transfer and other core principles of mechanical/chemical engineering.
- Working knowledge in high temperature thermochemical energy conversion devices such as engine, reformer, reactor, burner, or combustors.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous assignment as leading or managing chemical engineering or mechanical engineering role.
- Previous assignment as a subject-matter technical expert.
- Experience with developing or managing research and development projects is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
The salary pay range for this position is $119,00 to $145,000. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in Houston. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
