We challenge ourselves constantly to deliver more for patients, healthcare professionals, our partners, and our employees. </span></p><p></p><p><b><b>The Team</b></b></p><p><span>The Senior Medical Advisor role is a key national Country Medical Affairs role in Austria that provides medical and scientific expertise in the Anti-Infective therapeutic area and builds scientific leadership with external experts, with a major focus on external customer facing engagement activities (typically 60% of time)<span> </span>and will also have responsibilities in leading the field medical team in Switzerland.</span></p><p></p><p><span>The role will participate and contribute to the design of the brand strategy and life cycle management (LCM) of Mundipharma Infective Disease Therapeutic Area, leveraging medical and scientific expertise.</span></p><p><br/> </p><p><b><b>Role and Responsibilities</b></b></p><p></p><p><b><b>Local Medical Strategy and Tactics</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and implement pre-launch &amp; launch medical plans for the products of responsibility.</span></p></li><li><p><span> Identify information gaps based on insights gained to develop the local medical plan to address unmet medical needs in infective disease therapeutic area and in alignment with global brand plan.</span></p></li></ul><p><b><b>External Engagement:</b></b></p><p><span>Engage key external experts (KEEs) in scientific exchange to build deep scientific understanding and:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Identify potential speakers and review scientific data to prepare them, if appropriate.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Interact with the medical community in the context of various medical projects, such as clinical trials, <span>investigator-initiated</span> trials (IITs), scientific exchange meetings</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead advisory boards (set objectives and agenda, obtaining approvals, select and manage KOLs, meeting logistics and budget).</span></p></li></ul><p><b><b>Training in therapeutic area for internal and external stakeholders.</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic area, as well as of the drugs used for the treatment of related diseases.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Training to the sales network and other internal and external customers related to the therapeutic areas, diseases and treatments, and other medical areas of interest.</span></p></li></ul><p><b><b>Provide Medical Support to cross-functional teams</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Provide non-promotional scientific support to other company activities in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (i.e. Drug <span>registration/Hospital</span> formulary listing/Payer activities/Speaker training meetings).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support development of value dossiers and market access activities that shape market understanding of disease, diagnosis and treatment options</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure oversight for the development, review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials/activities in full alignment with applicable Codes of Practice and other relevant Regulations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure country activities fully meet company standards</span></p></li></ul><p><b><b>Medical Leadership</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Provide leadership for the SwissField Medical team, ensuring a focus on medical excellence in the development and execution of Anti-Infective Medical Plans that deliver enhanced patient outcomes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coach and support the Swiss Field Medical team with a focus on development of talent and key capabilities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide Medical governance, ensuring all our activities are in the best interests of patients and fully compliant with local regulations/codes</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with the Global Medical Anti-Infectives team to ensure that insight generation, data generation and scientific communications in Austria &amp; Switzerland aligned and in line with overall Global Therapy Area strategy</span></p></li></ul><p><br/> </p><p><b><b>What you’ll bring</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Strong Medial Affairs background with relevant Medical Advisor / Senior Medical Advisor experience</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ideally have a background as a qualified Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or similar (MD, MPharm or equivalent)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Previous Anti-infectives experience would be ideal but also open to similar therape
