The Finance team at The New York Post plays a crucial role in driving the company’s success by managing financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning. They provide key insights that support decision-making across departments and ensure the financial health of the organization. From budgeting and account reconciliations to operational project support, the Finance team helps keep the business running smoothly, making it an integral part of the Post's continued growth and success.

We are seeking a Finance Intern (40 hrs/week) to join us this summer! If you’re passionate about numbers, analytics, and the fast-paced world of media, this is the perfect opportunity to dive into the financial side of one of the most iconic brands in journalism. As a Finance Intern, you’ll be hands-on in preparing financial reports, analyzing data, and supporting key business decisions. From weekly financial flash reports to ad-hoc projects, you’ll be right in the heart of the action, working closely with professionals to gain invaluable experience.

Note: This internship is scheduled to run from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Participants are expected to work full time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 15th.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Provide support for operational projects, including personnel planning, budgeting, and other financial analyses.

  • Help generate and analyze financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key data.

  • Conduct account reconciliations and assist in maintaining financial integrity across multiple departments.

  • Contribute to ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects as needed, gaining exposure to different aspects of financial operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’re majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field and eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.

  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—as you’ll be working with a variety of teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with a focus on Excel for data analysis.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • A willingness to learn and contribute to special projects with a keen attention to detail.
