Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Monday – Friday with OT as needed 3:00pm - 1:30am), where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.  Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements.  You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant.  Bring your expertise and tools to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. This role offers a competitive pay range of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience and skills. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers
  • Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving
  • Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner
  • Perform general electrical repairs including wire connections, relays, photo-eyes, solenoids, working with 120v-480v, diagnose and wire up motors and troubleshoot variable speed drives. Must be able to properly use multimeter and read schematics
  • Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections
  • Modify, repair, install and troubleshoot various conveyor systems including but not limited to roller, belt, intralox, gravity, chain plate types
  • Diagnose, rebuild, troubleshoot and replace various pump types
  • Experience with using CMMS and documenting emergency and planned work and good communication skills
  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments
  • Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment
  • Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products
  • Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.
  • Experience with general shop tools and fabrication including use of grinders, saws, presses, lathes and mills

What You’ll Bring

  • 3 or more years mechanical/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of a high school education or its equivalent is preferred 
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment- ability to lift a minimum of 50+ lbs
  • Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
