JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This part-time position supports the general administrative functions of the Kinesiology department housed within the College of Health and Human Development. This support includes assisting with communications and document preparation, coordinating calendars and meetings, and data collection and entry, and other tasks as assigned.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Greeting and Assisting Visitors: Providing information, directing inquiries, and offering general support to students, faculty, and staff. 

  • Scheduling and Calendar Management: Setting up conference room reservations and coordinating meetings. 

  • Document Preparation and Filing: Creating and maintaining documents, reports, and records. 

  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Inputting information into databases and maintaining accurate records. 

  • Office Support: Handling mail, managing supplies, and providing general administrative assistance. 

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assisting with logistics for meetings and events, including scheduling, catering, and material preparation. 

  • Financial Tasks: Collecting receipts and tracking expenses. 

  • Communication: Drafting correspondence and communicating with various stakeholders. 

  • Research and Analysis: Gathering and analyzing information for reports, presentations, and other tasks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
