Provides technical support for product development, application development, customer technical service, and/or product or process research. It is your responsibility to evaluate analytical or scientific problems in unusual situations and select solutions based on established procedures. You will serve as an informal resource on operational, administrative, data organization, or coordination tasks for less experienced team members with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance will impact the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team’s work. You should be able to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Works as part of a team in a laboratory supporting chemists and engineers in developing, screening and commercializing new products and process for the Acrylic Adhesive business. </li><li>Manages and then safely executes laboratory work requests, maintaining and running relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipment and documenting data.</li><li>Develops experimental plans and executes approved plans by performing routine and non-standard tasks or procedures of higher complexity.</li><li>Achieves project goals using technical, role-specific skills and experience, and introduces new procedures for new instrument methods, equipment changes, or new equipment.</li><li>Develops a specific expertise within the department and laboratory work group in specific procedures, equipment, or instruments.</li><li>Acts responsible for calibration, safe operation and routine maintenance of simple and complex instruments, machinery, and system components.</li><li>Updates personal knowledge for proper use of equipment via manuals and job aids, logs maintenance activities and calibration results as required.</li><li>Communicates scientific observations to project team and organizes and prepares data tables and charts for inclusion in supported studies.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p></p><ul><li>You have a minimum of a technical degree (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) in a science related discipline.</li><li>You have previous experience working in a chemical lab.</li><li>Any related experience will be considered.</li><li>You are able to easily communicate in English.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Your Skills</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Good communication in English</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Interpersonal communication</li><li>Cross-functional work</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional notes</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Relocation is not supported for this role.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Benefits – What Dow offers you</b> </p><p></p><p>We invest in you. <br/> </p><p>Dow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career. You bring your background, talent, and perspective to work every day.
