About the Internship:

Waste Connections is offering a Summer Accounting Internship at our Knoxville, TN location. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in accounting or finance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Financial Reporting: Help prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
• Reconciliation: Assist with account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Support Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Research: Conduct financial research and analysis to support business decisions.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties related to accounting.

Requirements:

• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
