CompleteRx has an opportunity for a Director of Pharmacy at our partner hospital, Maury Regional Medical Center, located in Columbia, TN. Just south of Nashville, this charming town offers a welcoming small-town feel with easy access to attractions in the city, making it a great place to live and work.

We work closely with Maury Regional’s pharmacy team to maintain the highest standards of care. Our team of subject matter experts brings in-depth knowledge of pharmacy best practices and training.
As the Director of Pharmacy, you’ll lead a team of 8 direct reports and 31 FTE's, while having the support of CompleteRx’s operations team as a resource. Your leadership and innovative ideas will shape pharmacy services, ensuring our patients receive the best care at the 255-bed acute care hospital.
What You Will Do
Evaluates operations on an ongoing basis to ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective care delivery
- Develops, enforces, and maintains policies and procedures that promote cost-effective, appropriate, and safe drug use.
- Evaluates operations on an ongoing basis using principles of continuous process improvement.
- Develops, implements, checks, and retools action plans to address variances and improve efficiency.
- Develops and maintains a medical-staff-approved formulary.
- Supervises drug storage and preparation areas throughout the hospital.
- Provides for the educational needs of healthcare professionals and patients and their families.
- Ensures maintenance of an adequate drug supply. Ensures the integrity of the drug supply. Establishes specifications for the procurement of drugs, chemicals, and biologicals.
- Ensures strict control and accountability for drugs dispensed to patients or distributed to floor stock.
- Assures adequate control and documentation of controlled substances.
- Maintains a quality improvement plan for the department
- Ensures the pharmacy is in compliance with all federal, state, and other regulatory agency laws and standards.
Supervises, trains, mentors, and evaluates staff.
- Supervises pharmacy personnel.
- Develops job descriptions, performance standards, and performance goals.
- Evaluates and counsels staff on their performance.
- Prepares work schedules and monitors workload statistics.
