Description
The Department fosters a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary research and education/training environment. Our faculty possess research expertise in cardiac, neuronal, vascular, and renal physiology, as well as structural biology, cell signaling, and molecular biophysics. We are particularly interested in candidates who can strengthen and expand our current research focus areas in cellular organelle pathophysiology, metabolism, and/or structural biology as applied to studying the molecular basis of human diseases such as cardio/vascuilar/circulatory diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. Other topics of research in broadly defined areas of cell physiology and molecular biophysics will also be considered
Qualifications
Applicants for a position as Assistant Professor should have a Ph.D./ and or M.D. degree, 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of scholarly activity. Competitive candidates for a Associate Professor should have a strong publication and funding record and an inrernational reputation. Competitive candidates for Professor should have achieved records of leadership in the profession and have a strong record of scholarly publications and research funding

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should also submit a research plan with no more than 3 pages
