Job Purpose
The Project Management team oversees the organization, planning, and implementation of our Med-Metrix Suite of Products and Services. The Project Manager works closely with an experienced team of Med-Metrix Subject Matter Experts with operational expertise in both Healthcare Finance and the Revenue Cycle to provide best in class service to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with assigned MMX Implementation Consultant(s), client executives, and third-party contractors and/or consultants (if applicable) to; plan, coordinate, and implement projects according to specifications while meeting stated deadlines and staying within budget
• Must be able to identify and minimize project risks until successful project completion
• Create detailed project plans which identify and sequences the activities needed to successfully implement a project
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources to the activities
• Effectively communicate with internal team members and customers, in a clear and professional manner on the phone, via email, and in person
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work effectively to set goals, identify problems, and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment
• Manages multiple projects across different departments within the organization assuring that all team members have the required information and resources to complete tasks effectively
• Proactively communicate and manages expectations of both internal and external stakeholders by facilitating weekly calls, recording detailed meeting minutes, identifies next steps in the process, and diligently follows-up on all open activities until project completion
• Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
• Ensures project deliverables are met timely, to the satisfaction of our customers, and meet the high-quality standards that have been set by Med-Metrix
• Lead teams in high priority risk situations by coordinating and instilling a sense of urgency where applicable across multiple internal and client cross functional teams
• Acts as point of escalation for critical implementation-related risks and facilitate their timely resolution
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
• Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
• Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, and 3+ years of Project Management experience
• PMP certification is preferred, but not required
• Experience in Revenue Cycle preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
• Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
• Energetic with strong desire to learn
Working Conditions
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
• Occasional Travel may be required
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
• Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
