About the Role
The Senior Regional Marketing Manager will oversee marketing programs for Academic & Government solutions. This includes content, data analytics, and software portfolios. You will manage field-level digital and customer marketing, integrating campaigns, social media, thought leadership, conferences, events, and sponsorships. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Regional Marketing, North America, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing on the marketing plan for the assigned region with clear objectives aligned to commercial goals. In partnership and alignment with Sales, Research Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams.
- Contributing to Go-To-Market plans and work in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment. Balancing growth and retention goals.
- Developing a region-specific marketing strategy, blending and laying emphasis on Go-To-Market plan along with priorities of the local markets.
- Organizing and participating in webinars, conferences, and other events. Ensuring prospects and customers have an opportunity to engage with Elsevier, our solutions, and services.
- Ensuring all regional marketing activities and results are effectively maintained, tracked, and communicated to sales and other stakeholders.
- Developing market insights on all segments, adjacent markets, and growth opportunities in the region. Using these to strategize for planning growth of the regional business.
- Ensuring optimal allocation of assigned regional marketing budget and effective spend of the budget against targets for the region.
- Maintaining high standards of marketing planning, execution, and measurement. Including delivery of a coordinated (calendar) overview of all regional marketing activities periodically.
Requirements
- Display ability in field marketing programs, including campaigns, lead generation, sales enablement, events, and customer engagement.
- Experience in Digital Field Marketing and high comfort level with use of digital and social channels.
- Experience in account-based engagement and Account Based Marketing.
- Have outstanding communication/interpersonal skills and collaborative abilities to plan and execute in a matrixed organization. As part of global cross-functional teams, you will occasionally need to participate in meetings in international time zones.
- Have project manager skills/experience, organized, high attention to detail, and deep problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in driving projects and collaborating on cross-functional teams involving Product, Sales, Business Development, Global Marketing, and other stakeholders.
- Have skillsets in HTML, CMS, Adobe Photoshop design, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce.com, Surveymonkey.com etc.
- Able to travel approximately 20%.
- Able to work remote or hybrid in the United States.
