Randall Manufacturing, a Safe Fleet brand, in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Customer Service Representative!


Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am-4:30 pm, On-site in our Elmhurst office.



The ideal candidate for this busy role is a Customer Service Perfectionist, a fast learner who excels at people, systems and technicality - someone who focuses on the small details because they know how much they count! This is the answer seat, the hub of all things order, sales and follow-up related. Ability to speak Spanish, bilingual, a plus! This important role knows it all!


We are a manufacturer of safety products installed on truck and trailer bodies and we're seeking a Customer Service Representative with an Inside Sales mindset. The expectations of this role will include extensive phone and computer interaction with both prospects and customers, perfecting and delivering sales quotes and orders, supporting Management and Outside Sales Representatives, and actively interacting with the company's Production department to assure our product is manufactured and delivered on time and exceeds our customer's expectations. 


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for customers, interpreting and implementing customer instructions for the company to produce custom manufacturing products
  • Communicates with all individuals whose involvement impacts customer communications
  • Track shipment status of customer orders
  • Represents the company in handling and resolving customers complaints
  • Assimilates customer credit information and provide to the Assistant Controller
  • Follow up on literature requests from potential customers
  • Updates customer records
  • Prepares and sends quotes and provides written proposals to customers and potential customers
  • Handles customer special price requests and special design requests
  • Issues credits, sends order acknowledgements and composes letters to customers and potential customers
  • Maintains record of order activity tracking for larger accounts when required
  • Interfaces with Territory Managers, Director of Sales and senior management
  • Prepares dimensional workorder documentation for production
  • Other duties as assigned


Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Industry is a plus
  • Computer literacy on company supported programs preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP or Quality Management Systems
  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced working environment is a plus. 
  • Must be proficient working with the Internet, Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM.  
  • Bi-Lingual a plus!

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English plus have adequate hearing and visual acuity. 
  • Working environment is in an air-conditioned cubical with occasionally physically going into an unheated/air conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting. 
  • Safety glasses with side shields are required in the production area. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate on the telephone while entering data on computer. 
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and carrying up to 50Ibs, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting and walking in addition to being seated a good portion of the day. 
  • Good communication skills are required in addition to understanding verbal and written instruction. Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
