We're currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our construction equipment team. In this role, you’ll perform hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work at customer job sites while representing the Arnold name with pride and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of construction equipment

• Travel to customer job sites to perform field service

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical components

• Read and follow specifications in service manuals

• Measure parts for reuse or replacement; order new parts as needed

• Use diagnostic tools to fine-tune systems and identify issues

• Submit warranty reports and make recommendations for claims

• Perform light welding, fabrication, plumbing, and D.C. electrical repairs

• Mentor or guide less experienced technicians as needed

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding job status, progress, or concerns

• Maintain detailed service records and process work orders

• Assist with parts ordering and warranty documentation

• Respond to service calls and manage field tickets

• Maintain a clean and organized service truck/work area

Who You Are

• Experienced with construction equipment repair and maintenance

• Able to work independently in the field and problem-solve under pressure

• Comfortable reading manuals, schematics, and using diagnostic software

• Detail-oriented, organized, and safety-conscious

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Customer-service driven with a team-first attitude

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk, bend, lift, and move through uneven terrain

• Regularly lift and carry over 50 lbs

• Climb in/out of equipment and vehicles

• Use hands and arms for tool operation and equipment handling

• Stand, kneel, or lie in prone positions for extended periods

• Sit while operating machinery and driving

• Hear and communicate clearly by phone, radio, and in person
