JOB SUMMARY:
This is an Accountant - Senior Professional Accountant position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting, Account Services Unit. The incumbent coordinates with other Revenue Accounting employees to perform accounting adjustment functions required for reconciliation, credit tracking, transfer, or other necessary entries to ensure funds are properly accounted for in the State Accounts and internal tax databases.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of experience communicating with customers for the purpose of resolving inquiries.
- Two years of experience conducting research and analyzing information to make decisions.
- Two years of experience applying rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
PREFERENCES:
- Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax law.
- Experience reviewing and/or making adjustments to the account balance in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,612.69 monthly/$43,352.28 annually.
