Job Description
• JOB PURPOSE
To manufacture various products using multiple machines which may include plug/bung machine, presses, saws, grinders, weather stripping machines, different hand tools, and any future machines as the nature of the business requires.
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIIES (other duties may be assigned)
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Work collaboratively with shipping, sales, and purchasing.
• Being able to perform basic maintenance on various machines.
• Maintaining a quality product at all times.
• Constant quality checks of all manufactured items using tools such as calipers and templates.
• Logging quality specs multiple times daily
• Performing preventative maintenance monthly on machines.
• Light manufacturing such as making weather stripping, hose connectors, reducers, direct nozzles, aluminum weather stripping, and various items as the business increases.
• Forklift operation. Unloading, moving, and stacking material.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs on machines.
III. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Be able to work independently.
• Have some mechanical aptitude.
• Must have common sense.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to navigate through the most basic computer programs and software.
• Know how to use common hand tools.
• Excellent organization skills and follow through skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Be flexible with the ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome while working under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong team player.
• Be able to work overtime as needed, whether it be to come in early, stay late, or work an occasional Saturday to meet production demands.
• Handle unforeseen circumstances with tact and resourcefulness.
• LANGUAGE & REASONING SKILLS
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Being able to read calipers.
• Being able to read simple and basic prints.
• ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

• Being able to stand for long periods of time in a dusty, noisy, and at times a hot manufacturing
