As a Senior Plant Accountant your goal is to be responsible for accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results for our Allmand brand. You’ll also formulate and administer approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations within the Allmand business unit.
You will do this by:
- Preparing and presenting daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual financial information for management and outside parties. This may include leading one or more period end closing activities.
- Ensuring controls are in place, general ledger accounts are reconciled on a periodic basis and that overall data and system integrity as it relates to financial data is in compliance with GAAP, Company policies and Sarbanes Oxley.
- Ensuring general accounting functions are performed properly.
- Working closely to the Controller helping to prepare and monitor financial forecasts, budgets, expenditures; coordinating variance data and allocations and performing cost estimating projects.
- Working with functional managers throughout the company to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and offer recommendations for improvement. Coordinating review of inventory balances and inventory monitoring programs.
- Managing division systems and the compilation and analysis of management reports and statistical statements.
- Conducting internal and external financial statement audit requirements.
- Responsible for the invoicing process and making sure accounts and taxes are accurate.
- Responsible for Account Receivables and Payables, working closely with Corporate who concentrates Treasury activities to the group.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- At least five years of related accounting/finance experience - OPEN to fewer years of experience for Accountant level position
- Proficiency in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analysis techniques that assist in report preparation for decision-making purposes
- Thorough understanding of general accounting functions as well as cost accounting and standard cost setting
- Familiarity with profit and loss analysis, standard operating and capital budgeting
- Advanced organization skills necessary to manage multiple assignments and priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for interface and communicate with diverse groups
- Desire to grow into a leadership role
- Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
