We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.
Job Summary
The SharePoint & Automation Engineer is responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of SharePoint Online and automation solutions (including Power Automate and PowerShell scripting) within LabConnect. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of collaboration and workflow automation platforms that support business operations. Familiarity with Azure services is highly beneficial for supporting integrations and advanced automation scenarios.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, document libraries, and workflows.
• Design, develop, and support business process automation using Power Automate, PowerShell, and other automation tools, integrating with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and other business systems.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks related to SharePoint, file transfers, and system integrations, including error handling, logging, and directory routing.
• Monitor platform health, security, and compliance, and implement best practices for data protection and governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint and Power Automate, including user access, workflow errors, and integration challenges.
• Stay current on platform updates, service incidents, and new features relevant to SharePoint and Power Automate.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that improve efficiency and collaboration.
• Support integration with Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Azure Functions) to extend automation capabilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
• 5+ years of experience administering SharePoint Online and developing automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate, PowerShell scripting) required.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration required.
• Experience with REST APIs, PowerShell scripting, and integration between Microsoft cloud services required.
• Experience with Azure services and automation/integration tools preferred.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Associate, SharePoint Administrator, Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
Skills and Ability
• Deep expertise in SharePoint Online administration and automation workflow development (including Power Automate, PowerShell scripting, and related tools).
• Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts for automation and integration tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance features.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills across SharePoint, Power Automate, and other automation platforms.
• Experience integrating SharePoint and Microsoft 365 with other business systems and cloud services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged use of computer and headphones for conference calls.
