- Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
- Collects, processes and stores patient samples as per protocol and safety guidelines.
- Performs patient testing within specified timelines.
- Maintains a clean, safe work environment.
- Potential to move up to helping maintain the equipment, ensuring that calibration and maintenance are completed with appropriate time frames.
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year laboratory experience
- Demonstrates ability to consistently meet work schedule demands in the clinic.
- Obtains adequate blood specimens from patients using appropriate specimen collection and handling procedures.
- Labels all specimens in accordance with clinical laboratory standards and Clinic policies and procedures
- Prepares specimens for delivery or delivers to appropriate laboratory areas.
- Within scope of training, performs laboratory testing utilizing laboratory equipment in accordance with Clinic policies/procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Performs computer functions to support collection and processing of specimens.
- Maintains awareness of own safety in carrying out duties and responsibilities. Adheres to universal precautions and infection control policies and procedures.
- Assumes accountability for enhancing own knowledge through workshops, in-services, etc.
