Description
The Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position as a Primary Care Practitioner with additional responsibilities to assist in the oversight of the Resident Clinic in collaboration with the clinic leader. This exciting role combines clinical practice in a robust primary care setting with opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and clinical leadership. We seek an enthusiastic and collaborative physician dedicated to providing high-quality primary care while playing an essential role in developing the next generation of primary care clinicians. The successful candidate will also support the management and strategic initiatives of the resident clinic to ensure high-quality patient care and an exceptional educational experience for trainees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to a diverse patient population.
- Collaborate closely with the Resident Clinic Leader to support clinical and educational goals.
- Supervise and mentor internal medicine residents in the primary care clinic setting.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient care and clinical operations within the resident clinic.
- Assist in scheduling, workflow optimization, and faculty coverage for resident clinic sessions.
- Participate in faculty development activities related to teaching and primary care innovation.
- Contribute to scholarly activities, such as quality improvement projects, curriculum development, or clinical research.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for primary care.
- Experience or interest in teaching and mentoring trainees.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, quality improvement, and population health management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residency program administration, quality improvement, or clinical operations.
- Prior experience in academic primary care settings is desirable but not required.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
